Without any doubt we decided together to go to Grotticelle Calabria for this couple session.
In the Coast of the Gods -Costa degli Dei- between Tropea and Capo Vaticano, wild nature meets the sea. The rugged coasts join the waves. I’m always happy to come back here and feel the heat of the sun on my skin. What an amazing time spent with Mari and Domi! These two mean a lot to me, since our first meeting!
Mari pick me up that afternoon in the middle of the summer, it seems obvious to say but it was amazing how much we connected! Our destination: Grotticelle bay in Calabria with its three wonderful arched beaches to shoot their couple session. I knew what to expect: cliffs overlooking the blue-green sea, enchanting creeks and many caves often reachable only by boat! Intermediate stop to pick up Domi at his workplace and back at the wheel to the rhythm of music.
That day he finished later than usual, so he jumped in the car and we continued straight to the beach while he was getting changed in the car. The time you choose to take the photos is essential to have one effect rather than another, but something unexpected happens! What’s important is to keep the spirit, come up with a backup plan and the photos will turn stunning, maybe with an unexpected extra touch!
Once there, almost all the people we met on the beach congratulated the happy couple, everyone thought they were newlyweds! I had a lot of fun taking the photos with these two compelling guys. We enjoyed the sea breeze and cooling off with some chilled prosecco has been a great idea!
Sunsets from this part of the coast are wonderful. Especially if it’s one of those times when the sky turns red. Then it’s pure magic! We didn’t have this luck, however this heavenly beach never disappoints.
Mari and Domi fell in love with this place so much that they decided to get married in Tropea and celebrate on the beach! Who could resist, actually? According to a well-known French magazine, Capo Vaticano (Calabria) is the third most beautiful beach in Italy and among the hundred most beautiful beaches in the world!
